| Leticia Buchanan first came to Manhattan Language as a student when she came to brush up on her Spanish in our Level II Spanish class. She enjoyed being in the classroom so much that she decided to leave her job in television and get her teaching certificate. She has an infectious enthusiasm for teaching that draws anyone passing by into her classroom. She has also been able to use her connection in television to enrich her classes. In her English and Culinary Arts Class, her students were given the opportunity to practice their English backstage and even on air at the TV show Emeril Live. According to a former student, Zully Sotello, ‘°The best thing about Leticia's class is that you can't be shy or quiet, she just won't let you, and that is very good for us.‘± |
